  • I can't help but rave about this book to everyone I know because it was just that good. I couldn't get enough of it and wished it would never end. Linda's storytelling is incredibly genuine and authentic, making it an absolute must-read.
  • I understand that Linda shares her perspective on these experiences, but at times it seemed insincere and difficult to listen to. It's hard to believe that every reaction and action she had was virtuous and pure. It's intriguing that she had connections with these famous men, but it raises questions about her level of self-awareness. While I acknowledge that these men had their flaws and negative actions, my concern is that she portrays herself as faultless in every scenario. It's possible that she even omitted certain experiences and thoughts to maintain a positive image. Her discussion of her sons towards the end of the book felt out of place and like a promotion for their careers. When she mentioned making jams and marmalade as the ultimate gift of oneself, it was a bit nauseating. It appears biased. Prior to reading this book, I had limited knowledge of Linda Thompson, and I can't say it greatly influenced my opinion of her.
  • When you blend wonderfully inspiring language with genuine openness, sincerity, imagination, understanding, and humor ("overflowing with brilliance"), you experience a remarkable interplay of harmonious energy! This stunning living creation creates a enchanting story of the past and chance encounters as we glimpse into American culture while reflecting on modern topics of race and gender identity.🙏 Kudos to the collective efforts of the human team. This is not only an extraordinary book, but if you missed it, Linda has just introduced a groundbreaking shift in empathy with a single linguistic seed. Thank you for this precious gem, Ariadne.😎 ~@Compassioning
  • I absolutely adored this book. It had a touch of political correctness in its presentation, but the author's personal journey was absolutely remarkable. The book provided a wealth of incredible insight into the true nature of Elvis.
  • The narration in this audiobook is absolutely fantastic, and the story is written in such a captivating and exquisite manner. I've actually listened to it twice, that's how incredible it is!
  • I've been aware of Linda's connection with ELVIS for four decades, but I've only recently discovered her marriage to Bruce Jenner. I devoured this book in just 48 hours. Appreciate you opening up and sharing your story, Linda! (You were my hidden crush).
  • I got this audiobook with low expectations, thinking Linda Thompson and her stories would annoy me, but I was still curious about Elvis. Surprisingly, I ended up liking Linda! She may come off a bit sentimental, but there's something about her positive and cheesy perspective on life that makes her seem genuinely nice. I actually enjoyed listening to her stories about Elvis and Bruce. Her voice is soothing and easy to listen to, and it was fascinating to get a glimpse into Elvis' private life before he passed away. Overall, I genuinely had a great time with this book.
