  • When I'm busy working in the shop or hitting the gym, I love to listen to books. However, sometimes the monotonous tone can make it hard to stay engaged, especially when the narrator is reading the narrative or quoting someone. Nevertheless, I found "Civilian Warriors: The Inside Story of Blackwater and the Unsung Heroes of the War on Terror" to be an intriguing and worthwhile listen.
  • My dad actually gifted me this book, and it's worth mentioning that I was coming of age during the period when all of these incidents were taking place. I have to admit, I was completely captivated by the content. I didn't approach this read with the intention of altering my viewpoint, but I must say, it had a profound impact on my perspective, particularly when it comes to understanding the dynamics of bipartisan efforts and military initiatives.
  • When I first started listening to this book, I was willing to hear out the author's story. However, my opinion quickly changed when he openly admitted to having a child with his nanny while his wife was in a critical condition. It became apparent that he was a privileged individual who relied on his family's wealth rather than his own abilities as a Navy SEAL. Unfortunately, my admiration for him completely vanished when he confessed to betraying his incurably sick wife by being unfaithful. This revelation shattered any remaining respect I had for the author.
  • Do you think you would give 'Civilian Warriors: The Inside Story of Blackwater and the Unsung Heroes of the War on Terror' another listen? If so, what would be the reason for that?
