  • I actually picked up the original version of this book a few years back, but I don't think I was quite ready to fully absorb its message at the time. However, now that I've come back to it, I can honestly say that it's exactly what I needed to hear.
  • I've been in recovery from codependency and I actually purchased this book twice in hard copy. Being someone with ADHD, I really appreciate that the author took the effort to narrate it for all of us. My therapist actually recommended it to me. If you're curious about why you always prioritize helping others and neglect having fun, then yeah, this book is definitely worth reading.
  • The book had a lot of useful and enlightening content, although the author's frequent disclaimers of not being an expert or professional raised doubts about the credibility and authority of the information. This made me wonder about the value of reading the book and how much importance I should give to its subjective opinions. The inclusion of religious elements in the book felt abrupt and overwhelming to me. I found them too forceful and rigid in their approach.
