Thank goodness this story is finally finished. The excessively long and repetitive plot lines, along with all the unnecessary wandering, made me feel like I was losing my mind.
Sam Tsoutsouvas did a great job bringing the diverse characters to life. His voice has a somewhat hypnotic quality, which was helpful when Mr. Goodkind started going on tangents.
The only reason I stuck with these books until the very end was to see if Mr. Goodkind would make the mistake I predicted. And I have to say, he did not disappoint. Despite constantly emphasizing the importance of freedom and choice, Richard goes against his own principles and limits one mode of thinking for everyone.
The only reason I'm giving it two stars is because I genuinely care about Richard, Kahlan, and the other characters.
I haven't written any other reviews for the previous books mainly because I don't want to waste any more of my time and energy on Mr. Goodkind.
