  • Make sure to read this series in the correct order. Although each installment may appear to have its own conclusion, having the background knowledge is crucial for fully enjoying the story. Rachel remains as captivating as ever, encountering a myriad of problems that not only endanger her life but also her heart. The dynamic between Rachel and Trent takes an unexpected turn following a tragic event, reintroducing old characters who are bound to create chaos in future episodes. This, in turn, contributes to the slightly frustrating ending. Ivy, on the other hand, doesn't make an appearance until halfway through the saga, but personally, I didn't find it bothersome at all. Her presence brings forth the intricate world of vampire politics, perfectly setting the stage for the upcoming book. In this installment, we gain new perspectives on Al and Trent, perhaps revealing that they too possess a heart and soul. The characters are becoming more independent from one another, indicating that the series is gradually coming to a close. Overall, it's a compelling story with a couple of shocking moments that will tug at your heartstrings. There are a few slower sections with excessive descriptive dialogue, but I managed to finish listening to it within just two days, which speaks to its appeal.
  • Rachel is definitely growing up, but she's still as badass as ever. Out of all the books in this series, "Ever After: The Hollows, Book 11" has quickly become one of my absolute favorites. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy Ivy's character, but I'm relieved that this installment didn't put too much emphasis on their relationship like the previous books did. I'm already planning to give this audiobook another listen because it was just that good. And of course, M. Gavin's talent shines through once again with her impeccable voice acting and narration. Trust me, it's worth every penny or credit you spend on it.
