  • Shane East is the standout in this series, and he's the only reason I'm still hooked. I feel a bit guilty for saying this as a fan, but I'm struggling to finish the book. After three books, I can't help but feel that the story itself has been overshadowed by excessive displays of affection and explicit scenes. Let me be clear, I enjoy a steamy encounter as much as the next person, but there's potential for more depth and excitement if the author introduced action and suspense around the characters. Is Ethan supposed to be a dominant alpha male? Because he comes across as overly sentimental with his constant use of the word "baby." It's just too much for me. Grace Grant's narration isn't awful, but at times it feels like she has a bit of a lisp. To be honest, I'm just not engaged. Sorry Shane East, you were fantastic though! ❤️
  • The third installment of the series is packed with an abundance of unexpected plot twists and surprises that keep readers on the edge of their seats. The rollercoaster of emotions and challenges that come with a new relationship are skillfully depicted and developed in this particular phase of the characters' journey. Rest assured, there's no need to fret about a nail-biting cliffhanger, as the ending is both heartwarming and immensely satisfying. While I'm aware there's a fourth book awaiting me, readers can conclude the story here and still feel content. Personally, I thoroughly relished the exceptional dual narration by Shane East and Grace Grant, which elevated my listening experience to a five-star rating.
  • Ethan was going all out to safeguard what belonged to him, but will it be sufficient? Tune in to discover what lies ahead for this couple. Personally, I preferred the narration of this book when Shanr East and Grace Grant worked together.
  • I don't even know where to start with this one. The first book in the series was short and enjoyable, showing a lot of potential. Grace Grant did an amazing job as always. Moving on to the second book, it also had its moments but didn't quite live up to the excitement. I cautiously pre-ordered the third book, hoping for a payoff, but unfortunately, it fell flat. Let me start with the male narrator - he was great with the male voices, giving them a sexy edge, but his female voice reminded me of those Monty Python movies where the men played female characters. I'm not sure if I'm a fan of the dual narrators trend that seems to be happening lately. To be honest, it was a struggle to finish this book because nothing really happened apart from some repetitive, uninteresting sex scenes. My eyes were practically rolling back in my head from the boredom. The dialogue was overly sappy and sweet, and if I heard "My Girl" one more time, I would have screamed! I kept hoping that something exciting would eventually happen, but sadly, it never did. The little bit of suspense towards the end was quickly resolved and left unexplained. It's possible that it's just me, but I have to give this book a big thumbs down.
  • I couldn't bring myself to complete the book. It became quite exhausting to endure the frustrating personality of Blackstone. No matter how much he supposedly loves the girl, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was amiss. Perhaps I've become too invested in the story, causing me to take his character too seriously. Regardless, he is incredibly troubled. Just hearing about his actions felt suffocating.
  • I had a blast reading this book all the way through. The Narrators did a fantastic job of breathing life into the characters, keeping me hooked from start to finish. I'd absolutely suggest this book to anyone.
