  • This memoir offers a captivating and enlightening narrative for individuals struggling with weight issues and those who care about them. It sheds light on the importance of focusing on individuals' well-being rather than fixating solely on their weight loss. The author's revelations about the stress experienced by individuals undergoing this journey are truly eye-opening.
  • I really enjoyed reading this book because I found it relatable. It was an excellent read! The narration was also fantastic, I finished listening to the book within just two days.
  • This memoir is absolutely amazing. I was captivated by every moment of Andie's story. I even adored the way her voice was narrated. I will definitely be giving it another listen.
  • I was really hoping to adore this book. I resonated with a lot of the author's experiences, especially her troubled relationship with food. However, the excessive use of metaphors and similes truly weighs the book down. Another aspect that bothered me was the consistently intense and emotional tone throughout the ENTIRE book! Everything seems heart-wrenching and almost monotonous, even when the content itself isn't heart-wrenching. Maybe the author aimed to convey passion, but it falls flat in this case. Furthermore, there isn't a single joke or humorous twist to be found in the entire book. With the abundance of metaphors and similes, coupled with the author's potentially overly emotional delivery, I found this book mentally exhausting and it dampened the overall experience. I understand that her journey was challenging and she still grapples with difficulties, but for goodness sake, lighten the mood occasionally and consider employing a better editor.
