  • Take a seat and fully immerse yourself in these heartfelt messages from Jesus specially meant for you. I've gone through the printed version and I can't get enough of listening to this audiobook. It's a timeless gem that has truly aided me in strengthening my bond with Jesus.
  • The content of this audiobook is absolutely amazing! It's so good that I find myself wanting to listen to it over and over again, because I need these uplifting messages in my life every single day. However, I have to admit that Bill Russell's delivery style, including his tone, rhythm, and overall sound, made it a bit challenging for me to fully concentrate and remember what I was hearing. His voice didn't quite match the captivating nature of the content. I think I would prefer him narrating a book by someone like Kyle Idleman, who has a storytelling approach.
  • First and foremost, personally, I must say that the physical copy of Jesus Calling has truly transformed my life in so many amazing ways. I just had to share my experience with others. I want to make it clear that I'm not trying to judge or lecture anyone. I simply want to freely share the information and suggestions that have benefited me greatly. With that being said, I have found that taking the time each day to sit, pray, meditate, and reflect on the readings in Sarah Young's book is absolutely crucial to getting the most out of it. However, I understand that in today's fast-paced world, finding the time to ground ourselves can be challenging for many people. Like most of us, there are moments when we get so caught up in our busy lives that we forget to just "be". That's where this audiobook comes in handy, providing a delightful alternative way to absorb the information. But, in the case of this particular updated and expanded version, I was surprised to discover that the reading for January 1st from the original Jesus Calling had been replaced with an excerpt from Sarah Young's other book, "Jesus Listens". When I first heard about this, I thought it was a nice addition. However, my satisfaction quickly turned into confusion when I realized that the publishers had actually removed the January 1st reading from Jesus Calling. In conclusion, I couldn't help but wonder if this was an oversight or a poorly executed marketing ploy. Perhaps it was a strategy to encourage listeners to purchase "Jesus Listens". Regardless, the audiobook platform I used was very customer-friendly and offered refunds on credits. Apart from that, I agree with many other reviews that the organization of this version was also poorly thought out, as there are no indicators for the dates. I can understand how this could be frustrating for those trying to navigate the chapters.
