  • I want to start off by saying how much I adored the storyline and the main characters, Helen and Winterborne. If you're considering experiencing this book, I highly suggest picking up the written version rather than listening to the audiobook. As I mentioned in my review of the first book in the series, Cold-Hearted Rake, I couldn't bear to finish listening to it due to the narrator. Regrettably, I had already purchased the audio version of Marrying Winterborne, which turned out to be a complete waste. The accent was absolutely terrible and the character portrayals were dull and lifeless. It's such a shame because with a better narrator, this audiobook could have been absolutely fantastic. I'm disappointed to see that they've chosen the same narrator for Devil in Spring.
  • I eventually threw in the towel after multiple tries with this book. Despite the narrator having a pleasant voice, it felt more like she was reciting a tale for kids rather than a romance novel. The steamy moments that were supposed to be enticing ended up sounding like an awkward scenario involving a young girl. It was odd and didn't fit the narrative. Adding to that, all the female characters were given voices that resembled little girls. The story had promise, but the constant angst and the choice of narrator were major obstacles I couldn't overcome.
  • Out of the 2000 books in my collection, 'Marrying Winterborne' easily ranks among the top five. The plot takes us through a series of intense situations, but it never failed to captivate me, leaving me eager to discover how the protagonist would overcome each new challenge. And she does so in a manner that, while slightly unlikely, still manages to be believable. It's somewhat baffling that I initially overlooked this gem upon its release, but I'm grateful for the opportunity to experience it now, as the audio version truly enhances the overall enjoyment, perhaps even surpassing the pleasure derived from reading it.
  • I highly recommend starting with this book as a first choice. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the audiobook version even more. Mary Jane Wells did an outstanding job in bringing this story to life through her narration. Her ability to portray various voices for different characters was truly impressive! I particularly loved the Welsh accent of Rhys and the Contessa's accent. This audiobook is definitely one that I will revisit multiple times in the future.
  • Mrs. Kleypas' series gets an amazing conclusion with "Marrying Winterborne". The author always delivers and this book is no exception. I couldn't put it down, staying up late to devour the beautiful story of Helen and Mr. Winterborne.
  • I absolutely adored the plotline of 'Marrying Winterborne' and found immense pleasure in the delightful narrator's performance. Lisa Kleypas has once again proven her exceptional storytelling skills. I am eagerly anticipating her next literary masterpiece.
  • I absolutely adored this book. I had been eagerly anticipating its release for several months and couldn't wait to dive into it as soon as I got my hands on it. I couldn't be happier with the content, writing style, and storyline. It was truly magnificent. In fact, I felt that it was even more beautifully written compared to all of Lisa Kleypas' previous books available on the platform. Don't hesitate to buy it, you won't regret it.
