  • I noticed that there was a prologue, however, the story did not provide any clear explanation of the outcome. Perhaps I am not perceptive enough, but I struggled to identify a distinct plot within this book. Essentially, the narrative followed the girl incessantly recounting her life experiences until she reached the age of 16, without much development beyond that. It's possible that this lack of substantial storyline is the reason why the book seemed to be filled with exaggerated reactions to almost every event. Having lived in Naples for three years, I had hopes of finding enjoyment in this book, but unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations.
  • Right from the start, the narrator immediately engrosses you in the story. I can't wait to dive into the next installment of this series. Oh, and by the way, it would be awesome if they also released an Italian version. Seriously, I can't speak highly enough about this story. I definitely recommend it.
  • This captivating story delves into the deep bond between two young girls in a lower-class neighborhood of Naples. The author skillfully explores the impact of money, education, past events, and the desire for vengeance on the town's social hierarchy. Moreover, it delves into how each character uniquely expresses their yearning for liberation.
