  • This novel was a fun read, featuring characters that you can easily connect with and a storyline that keeps you guessing till the end. The pace was just right, not overly fast but still engaging. Though some of the modern slang and phrases felt a bit out of context, and there could have been more depth to the character development, I still enjoyed it overall!
  • Colleen Hoover, you are absolutely amazing. This book has me filled with a mixture of love and hate that is hard to put into words. I can't even begin to express the depth of my emotions for this incredible story. Please, never stop writing books of this caliber.
  • Colleen Hoover's stories are consistently impressive, including "November 9: A Novel". They are emotionally intense, to the point where I find myself feeling down despite enjoying them. It may not make much sense, but that's how it affects me with most of her books. This particular book could have benefited from some lighter moments, giving readers a chance to take a breather and recover from the intensity. Fortunately, Zachary Webber's narration elevated the story and prevented it from receiving only two stars. He truly is talented. On the other hand, Angela Goethal's narration heightened the angst and made the whole experience even more overwhelming. Now, don't get me wrong, a bit of angst can be thrilling, keeping you on the edge of your seat. However, when it becomes too much, it leaves me feeling like I've been submerged in a sea of heartbreak. Nevertheless, if you have a higher tolerance for gloomy and despairing narratives, "November 9: A Novel" is a solid story worth exploring.
  • I guess I'm not the target audience for this book. It's clearly aimed at young women between the ages of 16 and 25. I'm definitely older than that! The writing was so cliché that I couldn't even bring myself to finish it. I really enjoyed Verity, another book by the same author, so I decided to try this one. Unfortunately, it was definitely a wrong choice. It's almost as if her teenage daughter (if she has one) wrote this one.
  • I've just started this audiobook and while I haven't finished it yet, I wanted to share my initial thoughts. I'm finding it challenging to stay engaged because the female narrator's performance is quite poor.
  • I've gone through quite a few of Hoover's books, and this one is definitely up there as one of my favorites. The two narrators are pretty consistent across all her audio books, and personally, I'm a fan of them. The female narrator can be a bit theatrical, but the male narrator really hits the mark. I thoroughly enjoyed this story, and it always left me craving for more. Excellent job, Colleen!
