  • I fell head over heels for Henry Pembrook when I first met him in Royally Screwed. The youngest prince who becomes the next in line for the throne is not your typical royal, and that's why I love him. Here are some surprises I found in this book: 1. Henry has a soft side hidden beneath his mischievous behavior and casual relationships. He has a big heart. 2. The weight of being under his grandmother's constant scrutiny affects him greatly and shapes his character throughout the story. 3. His love for "the librarian" Sarah Titebuttom (hilarious name!) is beautifully portrayed. Although this book didn't meet my initial expectations, I thoroughly enjoyed it. The characters are lovable, and it delves into emotional issues that tugged at my heartstrings and even brought tears to my eyes. Henry's growth and maturity over time make him even more endearing to me. He's the best. Shane East does a fantastic job as the narrator, bringing this British tale to life with his heartfelt and passionate performance. I especially loved his portrayal of the female characters, including granny. The pacing was perfect, and his voice, tone, and inflection were spot-on. Andi Arndt always delivers excellence in her narrations, and I loved listening to her portrayal of Sarah and the other characters. Her accents and pacing were on point, and that emotional scene from Sense and Sensibility was both the best and worst for me. Outstanding job, especially when Penny reveals Sarah's ailment to Henry. Great work!
  • Royally Matched: The Royals Trilogy, Book 2 is like The Bachelor, but with a royal twist. Emma Chase showcases the power of opposites attracting in a captivating and heartwarming tale that takes unexpected turns. I used to have a dislike for accents. It was a thing, or so I believed. Guess what? I was completely wrong. Shane East's narration was irresistibly seductive and playful. He has earned a spot on my favorite narrators list. And of course, Andi Arndt perfectly complements the female narration. I could listen to this audiobook on repeat! If you've read Royally Screwed, you'll remember Henry as a somewhat troubled and wildly unpredictable character. Naturally, he jumps at the chance to be part of a reality TV show set in a castle, going behind the Queen's back. As expected, things don't go according to plan, especially since Henry has never been one to follow rules. And to make matters more interesting, he finds himself falling for a woman who isn't even a contestant on the show. Sarah Von Titebottum (yes, "tight bottom" is the correct pronunciation) is a naughty librarian with a passion for classic literature. Despite their differences, I adored how they complemented each other and grew individually before finding their way to each other. This audiobook is a delightful blend of entertainment, heartfelt moments, and surprising twists. Emma Chase truly caught me off guard with an unexpected twist at the end. It completely took me by surprise, but it fit the story perfectly.
  • I'm absolutely digging this series! The narration and story are top-notch. What I really appreciate is how the happy ending wasn't just thrown together hastily. The characters went through some serious growth and development, making the ending even more satisfying.
