  • This book written by Rush Limbaugh is a great introduction to the Pilgrimage of future Americans. It resonates with both kids and adults by using relatable subjects from the twentieth century to highlight significant moments in American history, even in 2021. If you're a fan of the American Musical: Hamilton, you'll definitely enjoy not just this book, but the entire 'Rush Revere' series. You can easily make connections between moments in your favorite musical and this 13-year-old book. To be honest, the last time I listened to this audiobook was back in 2013. However, as I stumbled upon it in my library, I couldn't help but feel genuinely excited. Believe me, this book is fantastic. I highly recommend it for all ages, especially middle school students!
  • I was really excited about this book because I wanted to use it as a read-aloud for my 5th grade social studies class. Kids tend to remember stories better than facts and figures. However, I was disappointed to find that it was not a good book at all. At first, I thought it was just Rush doing a poor job at narrating (it would have been slightly better if someone else narrated and could differentiate voices), but the truth is, the story itself was below average. It felt like he was forcing things to fit in order to teach kids facts. The story lacked a natural flow.
  • Although I must admit that I find Rush Limbaugh quite hilarious and incredibly intelligent, I initially had doubts about the quality of a children's book authored by him. Surprisingly, "Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims: Time-Travel Adventures with Exceptional Americans" turned out to be quite entertaining, showcasing Limbaugh's understanding of how children perceive the world. It offers a captivating approach to teaching history, which I found rather appealing. As a Canadian adult, I didn't manage to complete the entire book, but I found myself enjoying what I did listen to more than anticipated. I can't recall the exact reason why I purchased it, perhaps just out of curiosity. Limbaugh mentions that the book's target audience is around 10 years old, and I must agree that it seems appropriate. Interestingly enough, it seems the talking horse in the story is gaining quite a following, as it receives fan mail!
  • I really enjoy it when history becomes engaging for my children as we homeschool, but unfortunately, this book failed to hit the mark. It contained excessive and unimportant details, which added little value. Moreover, the narrator (who is also the author) did a terrible job. He used the same tone of voice for all the characters, without any variation, making it difficult to discern who was speaking and their emotions. It felt like he was constantly shouting throughout the entire book. We couldn't make it past the halfway point and ended up abandoning it.
  • I gotta say, Limbaugh really knows how to spin a great tale that's both entertaining and educational. It's like he sneaks in the history lessons without you even noticing. Me and my little ones, who range from 6 to 16, had a blast with this one. Can't wait for the next installment!
  • I really enjoyed the clever concept behind this book. Rush does a solid job as the narrator, managing to both entertain and educate the listeners simultaneously. It was a great experience to share with my 12-year-old son, who was genuinely impressed. I highly recommend giving it a listen.
