I found the audiobook entertaining and easy to listen to, with a dynamic and pleasant narration. It presented me with a range of novel historical data and interpretations. The author's atheist perspective allows him to freely express his ideas, analyzing political movements and religions in a fresh way. However, I disagree with some of the scientific theses presented, as they lack sufficient evidence or provide a partial enumeration, such as in the case of the peopling of America or the explanation of the trap of agriculture and the domestication of wheat.
Another positive aspect worth noting is the human tendency to create fictions and collectively believe in them, which I believe is a valuable contribution. The book describes the transition from historian to futurist, hinting at the next installment.
For someone who doesn't engage in critical thinking or possess much historical knowledge, this book might be considered enlightening. However, I would suggest that person persists and expands their sources of information by consulting additional bibliographic material.
