  • I'm a big fan of this series, but I must say that this installment had more of a retrospective feel, summarizing the events of the previous nine books. The character development and plot didn't progress the story as significantly as in the previous installments.
  • Once again, I found myself captivated and immersed in the narrative from start to finish. The constant allusions to Father Tim and Cynthia's previous adventures in the Mitford series added an extra layer of enjoyment for me. These characters feel like an extension of myself, and I have a deep affection for them. And I must say, John McDonough's performance was exceptional. He perfectly captured the essence of each character with his delivery.
  • I just can't wrap my head around why I'm so hooked on the characters in this book! I absolutely adored all of Jan Karon's novels featuring Father Tim. They're downright hilarious, genuine, and rejuvenating. Counting down the days until the next installment!
  • I'm a huge fan of this whole series. It's a great wholesome story, narrated by someone who really knows their stuff. I've listened to the entire series and I can confidently say that I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone without any hesitation.
  • I have one important warning - this audiobook is not suitable for younger audiences. Personally, I was quite let down by the inclusion of profanity. However, if the offensive language were taken out, I would easily give it a five-star rating. It's crucial to pay attention to the language used!
  • I've been a fan of the Mitford series for a long time and eagerly look forward to each new book. I've read them all. This is my first time trying the audiobook version. Maybe that's why I find the story somewhat dull and tedious? I haven't finished listening to it yet because I'm having a hard time getting into it. I hope that as I continue, I'll be able to connect with it since I've always enjoyed this author's writing when reading the books.
