I initially had some reservations about "Surprise Me: A Novel" as I wondered if it would be too cheesy or just another run-of-the-mill romance novel. However, I decided to give it a chance and used a credit for it, and I'm happy that I did. While the beginning was a bit cheesy, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the book had much more substance than I expected. It tackled various important topics and the story itself was engaging and enjoyable. I must also mention that the narrator, Fiona, did an incredible job which added to the overall experience and made it even more enjoyable.
I always find this author hilarious, and "Surprise Me: A Novel" is no exception. However, this book takes a more serious approach compared to her other works. The initial concept is absolutely hilarious, making it a worthwhile read.
