  • I was totally on the edge of my seat with this story, and I was dying to find out if it was all just a dream! The love story was incredibly creative and packed a powerful punch.
  • I gotta be honest, this book had its moments. Overall, it was decent, but I can't deny feeling a tad let down. The amount of drama in it was off the charts, and now I'm not sure if I'm up for going through that headache all over again.
  • This book was mostly a wild dream filled with non-stop action and intense drama. The brutal elimination of the entire Diamond bloodline only to discover it was all just a dream left me feeling disappointed. It felt like the story was a complete waste, as well as the entire novel and my hard-earned money. It's hard to believe that the authors would invest their time in a dream sequence.
  • Just a heads up, you can totally skip this book... it's not necessary for the series! Save your money, honey! Initially, everything was going smoothly until we reached the end of the book. Although I enjoy these two authors collaborating, I can't understand why they took this amazing book in such a terrible direction. It made me extremely hesitant to dive into Book 3. Seriously, who gave them the green light for this questionable idea? Because it definitely wasn't brilliant. On the bright side, Cary Hite does an awesome job as the narrator. The way he brings each character to life is simply amazing. Personally, I'm not too picky about voices and accents, so as long as they get somewhat close to a Haitian accent, I'm cool. I mean, I'm not gonna lose my marbles over it. That's the least I can ask for, considering I'm not reading the book myself. The right amount of sex, drugs, and abuse kept me hooked and engaged. A WORD OF CAUTION: If you're thinking of reading the descriptions of these books, don't bother! Characters from the first book may mysteriously "disappear" in the second book and then magically "reappear" in the third or fourth. It's absolutely ridiculous, which is why I gave it a three-star rating. It's incredibly hard to follow and they should have just wrapped up the series by the third or fourth book.
