  • I really had a blast with this paranormal trilogy that had a really cool Sherlock Holmes vibe going on. The books did a fantastic job of keeping me on the edge of my seat, wondering what would happen to Tessa Grey, while also throwing in some juicy love triangles and the looming threat of world destruction. The first book, Clockwork Angel, might have been a bit slow to start, but I urge you to stick with it because things really start to pick up in the second book, Clockwork Prince. I also appreciated that they switched up the narrator. And let me tell you, Clockwork Princess was full steam ahead - I was so engrossed in the story that I shooed anyone away who dared to interrupt me while I was listening. In my opinion, this trilogy is definitely worthy of a credit. I genuinely had a great time with it.
  • I was eagerly anticipating this book for a long time, but it turned out to be a huge disappointment. I found it dull and repetitive, almost as if it was written by a different author. To make matters worse, I wasn't particularly fond of the narrator either. While he did a decent job with the accents, Tessa's voice sounded monotonous and robotic. I actually fell asleep twice during the initial chapters. Honestly, I couldn't wait to reach the ending, which felt unnecessarily prolonged. The constant repetition of the "I love this one, but I also love the other one" line became tiresome and uninteresting. The first two books were quite enjoyable, but this installment falls far below expectations.
