NYPD criminalist Lincoln Rhyme joins his beautiful protégé, Amelia Sachs, in the hunt for the Coffin Dancer -- an ingenious killer who changes appearance even faster than he adds to his trail of victims. • The character voices were completely off in the audiobook. Amelia came across as whiny, feeble, and lacking confidence. The portrayal of the FBI chameleon was exaggerated and excessive. It was a struggle to listen to the narration, which unfortunately turned what could have been an enjoyable book into an unpleasant experience.
  • I gave this audiobook a five-star rating. The performance and storyline were both excellent. I was initially drawn to it because I had watched the movie years ago, which was based on "The Bone Collector." The only thing I had to adjust to was accepting the physical descriptions of the characters in the book, as I had the visuals of Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie (playing Lincoln and Amelia) from the movie in mind. It was quite funny to compare the book's depiction of Tom to Queen Latifah's portrayal.
  • The narration in this audiobook is absolutely dreadful and sounds amateurish! The story itself is decent, although it might feel a bit predictable if you're familiar with the author's previous works.
