This audiobook is absolutely amazing in terms of its content, and the narration is good enough. You'll definitely have a great time listening to this audiobook, as well as the other volumes in the series!
The Durant's did a fantastic job narrating the story of civilization in 'The Life of Greece'. I absolutely loved the first book in the series and, although I didn't enjoy this one as much, I still gained a lot of knowledge and it has inspired me to explore more about Greece in other books. Ideally, I was hoping to avoid that extra effort after finishing this book, but the vastness and complexity of the story compelled me to seek different perspectives from various historians. Once I've done that, I believe I'll be able to revisit this book and extract even more value from it than my initial read. If you're already well-versed in Greek history, this book would serve as an outstanding refresher. However, for first-time readers, it might be a bit challenging to fully grasp.
This audiobook provides a wealth of information about Greece's significant contributions to the modern world, as well as its conflicts and intrigues. The book's organization into thematic sections is helpful in understanding different eras of art, philosophy, science, and more. However, it can be a bit confusing in terms of the timeline. Nonetheless, I found it to be a monumental work and I was glad to have it with me during my trip to Greece. The narrator, Rudnicki, skillfully guides us through the material with confidence. Overall, a great experience.

I highly suggest this insightful exploration to anyone seeking to comprehend the present-day. It was nearly impossible for me to set this book aside and catch some shut-eye. The narrator's delivery is an absolute delight, as if he penned the words himself. Much appreciation!
I can't believe that a "boring old history book" could actually make me feel so energized. It's probably because Will Durant brings history to life in such a captivating way.
After finishing the first volume of his massive 10-volume history series, I was already impressed, but this second installment was even more captivating. It's amazing to feel a sense of pride in my Greek heritage.
This book is absolutely incredible, I highly recommend it to anyone who has an interest in Greek history. It is part of the captivating Cradle of Civilization series, which I also cannot recommend enough. The narrator is also fantastic!
