  • This book had me totally immersed that I kept forgetting it's not a true story. I'm an avid audiobook listener, so I rarely buy physical copies, but I'm definitely getting both the audio and print versions of all of Jack's books. It's a bummer that I'm only starting this series now, but I'm stoked that there are plenty more for me to dive into.
  • I'm a huge fan of Mitch Rapp books, but I found "The Terminal List: A Thriller" to be quite simplistic. It lacked the depth of character development and imaginative elements that I've come to expect. The main character, while flawlessly portraying the typical "man's man," is constantly pursued by a corrupt left-wing government. It's almost as if the story was written by a teenager, with its portrayal of a righteous, family-oriented protagonist.
  • Initially, I was a bit doubtful about this book due to some of the reviews. However, after reading it, I strongly believe that anyone who rates it below 4-5 stars lacks imagination. As for the individual who mentioned Mr. Carr's criticisms of the Democrats and portraying them as villains, well, if you live in this country, you'd recognize that they can indeed be viewed that way. In my opinion, this book felt more like reality than fiction. It highlights the presence of influential figures in our nation who would readily sacrifice our soldiers or anyone else to line their own pockets. Fantastic work, Jack! I found it extremely difficult to put this one down!
  • The narrator's performance was exceptional and the plot of the book was decent. However, the repetitive presence of the author's political bias was off-putting. One of the reasons I enjoy listening to audiobooks is to escape the absurdities of the current political climate. Like many others, I already have a well-defined political stance and don't require the author consistently portraying one party in a negative light. Unfortunately, this has only succeeded in distancing me as a possible future reader of his other works.
  • I had a blast listening to this audiobook (big shoutout to Ray Porter who nails it), however, I couldn't help but feel that everything fell into place too conveniently. The lack of clever or intriguing resolutions was a tad disappointing. Following the intense and thrilling beginning, the story progressed smoothly without any major obstacles or setbacks for the protagonists. I was anticipating a revenge plot where the main character would stop at nothing, disregarding the collateral damage. Unfortunately, it turned out to be more of a typical "assassin doing assassin things" kind of story.
  • Jack Carr really hit it out of the park with this one. "The Terminal List: A Thriller" is a fantastic, fresh thriller that I can't recommend highly enough. It falls right in line with the gripping storytelling of authors like Flynn and Thor. Trust me, this book is absolutely amazing and deserves to be checked out by everyone. It's packed with nonstop action, a compelling protagonist, and just about everything you could ask for in a thriller.
  • I've been a member since 2006 and I've never taken the time to write a review, but let me tell you, this book absolutely deserves it!!!! Thank you so much, Jack, for your incredible service with the Seals. You're one badass writer. Please, keep those amazing stories coming......
  • I happened to watch the latest movie "Death Wish" in the same week that I listened to this book "The Terminal List: A Thriller". Lieutenant Colonel Reece's vengeance is more inventive compared to Dr. Kersey portrayed by Bruce Willis. I had a feeling that this story would touch on political themes. Jack Carr and I seem to share similar political views, so it didn't bother me. I managed to figure out the culprit about two-thirds into the book, but I read a lot of books in this genre, so it's understandable. Without giving away any spoilers, I'm excited about the possibility of a second book with a similar premise. In my opinion, Ray Porter is the most exceptional narrator out there. Joe Barrett comes in second. Mr. Carr, I suggest you stick with Ray as your narrator!
  • Being a veteran who has experienced combat, I connected deeply with this book on multiple levels. The way Jack Carr writes with such accuracy, whether it's about military operations or geographical details, truly amazed me. While listening to this audiobook, I found myself on an emotional roller coaster. I laughed, got angry, and even shed a few tears. I formed a strong connection with the protagonist, James Reese, and it was reinforced by the small, authentic details that only someone who has been through war can truly appreciate. This book has it all - a love story, a thrilling military plot, and a captivating tale of political corruption. It's the story of a man who is motivated by his love for his family and fueled by an increasing rage as the events unfold. I highly recommend giving this audiobook a listen if you want to experience a gripping story that will leave a lasting impact. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.
