While listening to this audiobook, there was a moment when I couldn't help but think how overly sentimental it is! It's quite obvious when Philippa Gregory transitions from well-documented historical events to weaving a fictional story. Life at court was no walk in the park, and I couldn't help but wonder why anyone who had fallen from grace would willingly return to the cutthroat world of royalty. Being a fan of English history, I'm determined to finish the series despite the overly romanticized portrayal of a teenage girl's visions. However, one thing that is crystal clear is the hierarchy of the Lancaster, York, and Tudor dynasties. Susan Lyons deserves praise for her superb narration.

I absolutely loved listening to 'White Queen'. The narration surpassed my expectations and added an extra layer of enjoyment to the already captivating story. History enthusiasts will be enthralled by this series, and personally, I found it quite enjoyable myself. The aspect of influential women who quietly shaped history from the shadows really resonated with me. One character in particular possessed a fascinating "unnatural ability" that added an intriguing twist to the narrative.
