The narrator of 'Wicked Abyss' is fantastic and the story itself is truly amazing! The books in the immortals after dark series are not only enjoyable as standalone novels, but also as a part of the entire series. Unlike many other lengthy series, the plots in this one remain captivating and the stories are equally if not more impressive than the initial books in the series.
Once again, another amazing audiobook by Kresley Cole that checks all the boxes for paranormal lovers. I'm eagerly anticipating the next installment, especially with Nix evolving into a goddess. The anticipation of what she'll do next is thrilling. I absolutely adored it, and Robert Petkoff did a fantastic job as always.
I reckon this might just be Kresley Cole's sexiest IAD book thus far! WICKED ABYSS had everything you'd expect--laughs, steaminess, and thrilling action--but the level of sexiness was off the charts. The narration was top-notch as always. Petkoff really throws himself into it, although he tends to stick to one style for the female characters, but overall, he's a keeper. I found the storyline really intriguing because I'm more into demon-lore than vampires, and the fairies always bring some fun. The only downside I noticed with this series is the long wait between each book. I could be mistaken, but it felt like over a year since the last IAD book. I had to rack my brain to remember the characters, mates, bloodlines, and everyone's objectives in the series--it was quite a handful! Despite that, I'll always be a loyal Kresley Cole IAD fan. If you're in the mood for a steamy and hilarious paranormal romance, you need to grab this series right away. It was definitely worth a credit and deserves a blazing hot five stars.
I can't decide what's more enjoyable: the author's captivating writing style or the narrator's impressive range of voices. When these two come together, it's pure magic. As Andrea Connection would say, "Give me more, more, more!" Looking forward to the next stories from this talented duo. A devoted fan who both reads and listens.

I'm a huge fan of this series, and Nix is definitely my favorite character. However, I couldn't help but skip through the excessively long sex scenes in this book. It felt like a major chunk of the story focused on sexual encounters, leaving only a small portion for the actual plot. I must admit, it's a bit disappointing, and I'm uncertain whether I'll continue with the series. I crave a better balance between the storyline and the steamy moments.
This book is amazing! KC, you really know how to keep me hooked! It's a must-read for any fan of the Immortals After Dark series. I can't praise it enough!
This audiobook, 'Wicked Abyss', is definitely targeted towards those who enjoy indulging in their wildest sexual fantasies. It seems to cater more towards a female audience, earning it the label of a "chick book". Unfortunately, the plot falls short in terms of quality and fails to captivate the listener. The narration, while not exceptional, can be considered decent enough. However, due to the underwhelming plot and my diminishing interest, I decided to abandon the audiobook after only reaching a quarter of the story, even when listening at an accelerated speed of 1.25.
I'm not quite sure who this book is really aimed at. The writing felt very basic and the plot was incredibly outlandish, to the point where it almost felt like a children's book. However, the entire story revolved around sex.
