Summary

You walk into the bookstore and you keep your hand on the door to make sure it doesn't slam. You smile, embarrassed to be a nice girl, and your nails are bare and your V-neck sweater is beige and it's impossible to know if you're wearing a bra but I don't think that you are. You're so clean that you're dirty and you murmur your first word to me, hello.

  • I'm a huge fan of books that are narrated from a single character's perspective as it adds an element of intrigue to the story. While I did find this particular story enjoyable, there were moments where the plot seemed to drag a bit and the writing felt somewhat stiff. However, the ending was absolutely fantastic! I realize it might sound a bit twisted, but it was definitely the highlight for me. Oh, and let's not forget about the main character's occasional use of colorful language. It added a humorous touch to his inner thoughts.
  • This book was a huge disappointment. It ranks among the worst books I've ever read. The storyline was not just bad, but offensive as well. I initially picked up this book because I enjoyed the narrator's performance in a previous book. However, I'm not sure if it was solely the book or a combination of the book and the narrator, but I certainly didn't enjoy this one. While it wouldn't deter me from listening to the narrator's work again, I can confidently say that I will never read anything by this author ever again. The book felt cheap, lacked depth, and was downright demeaning. So, to put it simply, this is not a book worth your time. I was so unimpressed that I even fast forwarded just to leave this review, as I only do so when I have strong feelings about a book, whether positive or negative. Trust me, this is one you can skip.
