  • I've never really gotten into self-help books before, but this one was recommended to me. Personally, I couldn't really connect with it. I'm a woman, approaching 30, and Hispanic, just to give you some context. I'm sure there are more captivating introspective books out there, but this one wasn't the one for me.
  • It's kind of creepy how much this book reminds me of The Secret. It could very well be heavily influenced by it, if not a blatant inspiration. Either way, it definitely takes a more extended and relatable approach.
  • This book emphasizes the importance of believing in yourself, even if you may not feel confident. It suggests that instead of focusing on self-improvement efforts, one should embrace their own beauty and deservingness. However, if you are seeking guidance on personal growth and development through hard work, this book may not meet your expectations.
  • I've gone through this book multiple times, and each time I discover something new that keeps it fresh. If you're looking to make positive changes in your life, you need to listen to Jen Sincero! She's absolutely incredible.
  • The ideas presented in this book are not exactly groundbreaking. They were quite popular back in the 1870s and have had periodic resurgences in popularity since then, much like "The Secret" or "Think And Grow Rich." It covers similar themes to these books. However, if you can overlook the quasi-religious aspects, it can be considered a decent self-help book. The author, who also narrates the audiobook, doesn't seem entirely convinced about the concept of "Source Energy" she promotes. She often forgets to mention it and seems to add it as an afterthought. That being said, the anecdotes shared in the book are occasionally humorous, and there are practical tips and strategies that can benefit anyone, regardless of their belief in supernatural forces. While there are certainly better self-help books available, there are also worse ones out there.
  • I'm a huge fan of self-improvement books, but I found this one to be more focused on abstract concepts rather than providing concrete steps to help you set goals and achieve success. Many other books offer workbooks or specific strategies to help you stay focused and motivated. This book was just okay in that regard.
  • If you don't have a genuine diagnosed mental illness, such as depression, this audiobook can be beneficial. However, for those who do, it may come across as dismissive and unsympathetic, implying that you're simply making excuses. The author's approach may not reflect the expertise of a professional or a trustworthy life coach. This particular chapter was a major turnoff for me personally, and I wish I could ignore the positive aspects and replace it with something more substantial.
  • Although the book's message is impactful and beneficial, the author's presentation leaves much to be desired. She tends to excessively repeat certain words, going on and on and on and on and on. Her excessive use of examples to illustrate a point can become overwhelming. It's clear that she is simply trying to fill the pages with words. Furthermore, she employs "cutesy" language that diminishes her intellectual credibility. While I found the book's message enjoyable, I did not particularly resonate with the author.
  • I really enjoyed it. The book is filled with valuable insights and it truly lifts your spirits. I'm definitely planning on revisiting it. I highly suggest this read to anyone looking to improve their life.
  • Many negative reviews mention the author's condescending tone and attempt to sound cool. Personally, I found the book to be unhelpful, as its main premise seemed to be repeating affirmations like "I have a million dollars" and "I am successful." I was expecting practical advice on saving money and achieving success, but there were no actual tools provided. Some of the suggestions even seemed harmful, like encouraging readers to buy an expensive car and figure out how to pay for it later. It's clear that the author lacks firsthand experience with hardship or overcoming adversity, which makes it difficult to trust her advice on getting out of tough situations. It feels like she just randomly wrote this book and somehow managed to generate enough buzz to become successful. Furthermore, it seems like the author wrote this book, along with the 50 others in her series, solely for monetary gain rather than genuinely helping people succeed. I'm left feeling frustrated and like I wasted my time. In my opinion, self-help books that are less focused on being trendy tend to provide more practical tools for building confidence and achieving success.
