  • A Table for Three: New York Series, Book 1 is an incredible erotic fantasy that combines passion and sweetness. This type of erotica is right up my alley because it avoids unnecessary drama and tedious back-and-forth, which tends to annoy me. The small dose of drama present in the story is satisfying without resorting to an overly violent scenario. I mean, do we really need more violence for entertainment when we already have enough of it in real life and on TV? Personally, I turn to books to escape from that. One of the highlights of this audiobook is the outstanding collaboration between Lainey Reese and Christian Fox. Despite what a previous review said, Christian Fox's voice is absolutely perfect for the narration. It gave me chills; he's truly remarkable. Furthermore, the story itself is a perfect match for his narration. "Sexy" and "hot" are understatements for the incredible chemistry they manage to create together. I'm already invested in this series as I've purchased the next two books, and I'll definitely be on the lookout for more from this talented team. The more fantastical and less grounded in reality, the better in my opinion.
  • I initially purchased the Kindle version before deciding to give the audio book a try as a way to refresh my memory for the final book in the series. I found both formats enjoyable. While the story may be a bit far-fetched, it does keep you entertained. Personally, I feel that there could have been more depth to the storyline, but it certainly delivers all the steamy scenes you could want. So, I would recommend giving it a go, but don't expect anything extraordinary. I liked it enough to listen to it a second time in its entirety.
