  • The narrator truly does justice to Dickens' work. Their skill in embodying diverse characters, capturing various accents and dialects, and conveying emotions truly enhances the story. I believe Dickens himself would be pleased. I highly recommend this audiobook to readers of all ages.
  • I probably listen to around 40 audiobooks a year and I don't think I've ever come across one that was performed as brilliantly as this. It genuinely touched me to the point of tears on multiple occasions. If I had been exposed to this rendition of the story back in high school when I was assigned the book, I wouldn't have waited 25 years to dive back into the works of Dickens again.
  • Just when you think the 'masses' can take over and make it all better! Maybe not. This story has so many applications to our present day, although hopefully not as bloody. John Lee makes listening to this classic a delight. Right to the end. In fact, I had to listen to the last few minutes more than once. It was that good. Highly recommended.
