Summary

I really enjoyed the second installment in this series. While the first book was good, this one was definitely a step up. It was filled with humor, cleverness, and kept me captivated. I absolutely adored the main character, Max. The narrator did a good job overall, but she could use some improvement when it comes to voicing male characters and injecting more liveliness into her performance. Nevertheless, I highly recommend this audiobook. It's definitely worth a listen!
Wow, I have to say, the writing in 'Beautiful Stranger' left a lot to be desired. The characters were so poorly developed and lacked depth, that it became difficult for me to stay engaged. I actually ended up giving up on it after only reaching about a third of the way through. I guess the silver lining is that I didn't have to pay for this disappointment.
Christina Lauren is an incredible writer, capable of painting vivid images in the reader's mind, almost like watching a film. The book captures a wide range of emotions, including humor, anxiety, hopefulness, excitement, and of course, desire! I was thrilled to discover Beautiful Stranger after enjoying Beautiful Bastard (and there's another one on the way in June). These audiobooks are so engrossing that once you start listening, it's nearly impossible to stop and pick up later, so make sure to find a quiet and uninterrupted time to dive in.
