Summary

Since half-vampire Cat Crawfield and her undead lover Bones met six years ago, they've fought against the rogue undead, battled a vengeful Master vampire, and pledged their devotion with a blood bond. Now it's time for a vacation. But their hopes for a perfect Paris holiday are dashed when Cat awakes one night in terror. She's having visions of a vampire named Gregor, who's more powerful than Bones and has ties to her past that even Cat herself didn't know about.

  • Ever experienced that infuriating itch that seems to be out of reach and drives you crazy, making your skin crawl and tempting you to scream or even rip your skin off? And then, suddenly, you find sweet relief as you finally scratch it, feeling a soothing cascade of satisfaction wash over you. It's a cleansing and overpowering sensation that's almost heavenly. Well, that's exactly how it feels to dive into this latest addition to the series. And, as expected, Tavia Gilbert's performance is flawless once again.
  • Frost and Gilbert are still killing it in this audio series, keeping the momentum going strong. The book introduces some game-changing moments that set the stage for the future of Cat and Bones. Don't even think about putting this one down.
  • I'm absolutely obsessed with this series, like seriously obsessed. And let me tell you, this book doesn't let you down. You know how sometimes the later books in a series can be a total letdown? Well, not this one. It keeps up the same level of awesomeness. And now I'm on pins and needles waiting for the next installment to hit the shelves!
  • Man, I gotta say, book 4 really caught me by surprise. Gotta give major props to Frost for coming up with a totally unique plot twist. The story wastes no time in getting started, and let me tell you, so much goes down in this novel that it'll make your head spin. All the characters go through some major stuff, so hold on tight to your fangs! As for the narration, it's still pretty decent. But fair warning, you gotta read the prequels to follow along, otherwise you'll be hella lost. Plus, if you haven't read the earlier books, Frost gives a quick summary that might spoil things for ya. All in all, I'm giving this novel a big thumbs up. Can't wait to dive into book five now!
  • I absolutely adore this series! It's one that I can't get enough of, and I've listened to it multiple times already! Whenever I'm unsure of what to read, there are a few authors that I always turn to, and Jeaniene Frost is definitely one of them. The connection between Cat and Bones feels so genuine to me. It's a roller coaster of emotions, with moments that are both heartbreaking and hilarious, not to mention full of attitude and sensuality! Cat is a strong-willed warrior who struggles with taking advice from Bones, often finding herself in trouble when she ignores him. I'm not saying Bones is always right, but... Cat should really trust him more. I've devoured the entire series, and let me tell you, it's been one wild ride! I can't wait for more!
  • I reckon this series ain't really improving. The plot is alright, but Cat's starting to get on my nerves with all her whining and complaining. And let me tell you, just hearing the name of that narrator makes me cringe 'cause I can already hear that shrill voice constantly arguing and always trying to one-up everyone else. The only time I actually enjoyed this story was when Bones finally put Cat in her place. I might give it one more shot, but I ain't too sure if it'll make up for the disappointments in this series.
