Summary

I love this author and this series! Getting to hear Kane's story was at first uninteresting to me, but upon listening to a few chapters I was hooked! Great story and great ending!
This is the first book I've listened to in the series and thought it had a good balance of grit and romance. It kept me listening because I was rooting for Charlie to find a way out of her step-father's grip. The one thing that made me cringe the whole way through was her age, 18. Just barely out of high school. Cain of course has no idea she's that young so as he thinks sexually about her, fantasizes and begins sleeping with her, all I could think was SHES A CHILD! Stay away! lol. The ending was a wee bit cliché but it's a YA romance after all so that's usually what you get.
