  • I was finally set free from the never-ending battle with OCD, specifically Relationship OCD, thanks to this book. It's unbelievable how, even after years of therapy and taking medication, I found no relief.
  • I found this audiobook to be captivating throughout. Although there are some workbook materials that aren't available in audio format, the exploration of how language can contribute to psychological issues was both unique and thought-provoking.
  • My mom asked me, "Should I give that book a try?" And I replied, "This book is a must-read for everyone." It's an innovative and rational book, presenting intricate concepts in a comprehensive manner. I didn't find it dull at all, which is usually an issue for me. The book incorporates just the right amount of research to captivate my attention, and I believe it includes enough to explain the ideas to those who aren't particularly interested in research. I wasn't exactly thrilled with the focus on "mindfulness," but it's not surprising since it's something I personally lack in my life.
  • This self-help book is absolutely amazing and packed with insightful content. It has provided me with a wealth of knowledge and has definitely given me a lot to ponder. I highly recommend it.
  • It's pretty bumming to listen to. I really wish they had these other services available: The Happiness Trap, Acceptance and Commitment - second edition The Mindfulness and acceptance workbook for anxiety
  • ACT is an impressive offshoot of Western psychology, specifically Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), that shows great promise in helping individuals. I personally witnessed its effectiveness, which motivated me to read this book. Psychology is the study of the mind and spirit. In other words, it delves into the study of the human spirit. Astro-Psychology, an ancient system discovered in Classical African Civilization around 4,000 BCE, is the earliest recorded form of psychology. Books like "Metu Neter Vol 1" by Dr. Ra Un Nefer Amen and "Doublespeak in Black and White" by myself highlight this fact. They demonstrate that Astro-Psychology is a value-based psychology that integrates spirituality. While Hays' work takes a different approach (RFT), it is commendable to see the inclusion of the spirit (the observer self) in psychology. I highly recommend this book, along with "Change Your Brain, Change Your Life" by Dr. Amen, which explores the biological aspects underlying Hays' psychological concepts. Note: Astro-Psychology (cosmologics) encompasses both functional and conceptual aspects, organized within a comprehensive universal hierarchy. Now, moving back to the present, I have downloaded both CBT and ACT iPhone apps and I am excited to continue my comparative psychology studies using both ancient (🔺🔺🔺TOL) 🙏🏿 and modern tools👀.
