  • Man, I really wanted to dig this one. Feminism! Black empowerment! Women rockin' it in STEM! Sounds like a winner, right? But damn, the story just didn't hit the spot. The writing was all over the place, leaving me scratching my head. Such a fascinating subject, but the execution fell flat. Props to the author for shedding light on this untold story and kudos for getting Hollywood's attention, but I can't in good conscience vouch for the writing.
  • This audiobook revolves around the incredible tale of African American female mathematicians who played a pivotal role at NASA and its precursor agency during the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s. The story itself is captivating and engrossing, showcasing the remarkable contributions of these women. However, the writing style is riddled with overused clichés, lengthy metaphors, and unnecessary tangents that appear to be haphazardly woven into the narrative, ultimately hindering its overall coherence. It's regrettable, as it detracts from the otherwise compelling storyline.
