  • I got into this series right after finishing The Black Dagger Brotherhood on audiobook. Gotta admit, I was a bit bummed when I realized Lassiter wasn't in it. But after a couple of books, I was totally hooked and couldn't wait to see how the series wrapped up. And let me tell you, I'm over the moon with how it all ended. So satisfying!
  • I was already engrossed in the BDB series when I recalled this series due to some connections between them, but I was uncertain about the level of familiarity required. I've generally enjoyed this series, but the last two books left me somewhat dissatisfied. There were frustrating moments with plot inconsistencies and lack of communication. Towards the end, I felt let down by the romance between Sissy and Jim. Moreover, I found Sissy herself to be underwhelming and occasionally irritating. Overall, it's a decent series to read or listen to, but I doubt I'll revisit it.
  • I really loved diving into this amazing series. The final installment truly delivered on all fronts, bringing together elements of mystery, intense action, spine-chilling horror, heartwarming love, and unbreakable friendship. The way everything came together in the end was simply beautiful.
  • I'm totally obsessed with this series. J R Ward is like one of my favorite authors ever. Her writing style is just so amazing, and the way she chooses her words is so damn expressive!
  • I couldn't get enough of this book, man. I was hooked and kept coming back for more every chance I got. I didn't want it to end, you know? The suspense had me on the edge of my seat, always wondering what would happen next. The story was top-notch and I loved the entire series. JR Ward really knows how to write, she's awesome. Reading the book felt like being right there, experiencing everything firsthand.
