Summary

During their sophomore year, John, the introverted momma's boy, showcases his musical genius in a homecoming talent show that changes both their lives forever. John's romantic crooning earns him the nickname "Loverboy." As his R&B career begins, he asks Darin to tag along as his manager. Darin wants no part in the music scene, and has big dreams of his own, but when he suffers a season-ending football injury, he hops on the "Loverboy" bandwagon. This was a very light read that I enjoyed. The characters came alive for me, and I felt like I knew them. I felt like these could have been two guys I went to college with if one turned famous. I would recommend this book.

The story was good but the singing was too much, too often...and terrible! I got to be annoying.

I really enjoyed this book the bad thing I can say about this book is that Omar Tyee can NOT sing but It was a really good book outside of that.

This would have received 5 stars except that the author should have hired someone to sing the songs. Because the singing was so bad, it made it difficult to believe that the main character received all of this acclaim for his singing. The story was decent though. It kept my interest.
