  • Just like the previous books in the Red Rising Trilogy, "Morning Star" delivers its fair share of heart-wrenching moments and thrilling plot twists, and then some. The author's signature style of beautifully intense writing will have you questioning the meaning of life one moment, and then swiftly propelling you through unexpected turns in the plot the next. Overall, it's a very satisfying read, although the ending might leave you both satisfied and yearning for more, kind of like having dessert without a proper dinner. While most loose ends are tied up, there's a particularly unresolved and significant question looming (spoiler alert) - what will happen now that society has been shattered? It's a question that demands further exploration in a future book, a thoughtful and mature discussion on the political consequences that have been raised throughout the series, to truly give justice to the readers.
  • I was eagerly anticipating the third book in Brown's trilogy after finishing Golden Son, and I wasn't let down. The beginning was a bit slow, but as time went on, the storyline became more focused and tightly woven. Brown did an incredible job maintaining a believable, thrilling, emotional, and slightly dark plot. There were also moments of humor and tenderness that added a lot of charm to the story. The characters were flawed, but their development was truly impressive. They faced difficult choices, horrifying events, and real grief. Tim Gerard Reynolds gave an outstanding performance, bringing the story to life. What makes this trilogy truly special are the relationships that were formed in the first book. The ending was beautifully executed and left me completely satisfied. Huge applause to the duo of Pierce Brown and Tim Gerard Reynolds for delivering a timeless story.
