  • I have my doubts that this particular moment in history was all that significant. But when I think about how this story unfolded, along with the rest of it, I'm not entirely sure what the point is. It's like reading about how the Titanic almost had lifeboats on board.
  • You won't believe how captivating and skillfully written "Munich" is. It's honestly challenging to properly convey its brilliance in just a few words. If you're into learning from history's valuable lessons and understanding the perils of complacency and appeasement, then this book is an absolute must-read. The author accurately portrays historical events, showcasing the risks that come with political realities, even when fueled by "good intentions"!
  • Harris has done some serious digging into historical events to craft a compelling novel centered around the events that took place in Munich between Hitler and Chamberlain, ultimately leading to the Prime Minister's return to England, proudly declaring "peace in our time" after relinquishing the Sudetenland. However, this so-called "peace" turned out to be short-lived, lasting less than a year. The book does a fantastic job of immersing you in the intricacies of how and why these events unfolded.
