In my opinion, 'Pale Blue Dot: A Vision of the Human Future in Space' is a well-written book overall. While I believe that 'Cosmos' is definitely superior, 'Pale Blue Dot' is still a very good book in its own right.
Carl Sagan, with his captivating voice, narrates the initial chapters of the audiobook. His voice is perfectly suited for audiobooks, and I can't say enough about it.
However, I must admit that Ann Druyan's narration doesn't quite live up to my expectations. It's frustrating because she reads most of the chapters, and it requires some effort to listen to it all, when I should be able to relax and enjoy.
I gotta give credit to the reader, but her constant pleading tone gets old real fast. The first couple of chapters narrated by Sagan are way more accessible and he just keeps it simple.
