Summary

At exactly 7:30 p.m., Walter Pettibone arrived home to over a hundred friends and family shouting, "surprise!" It was his birthday. Although he had known about the planned event for weeks, the real surprise was yet to come. At 8:45 p.m., a woman with emerald eyes and red hair handed him a glass of champagne. One sip of birthday bubbly, and he was dead. The woman's name is Julie Dockport. No one at the party knew who she was. But Detective Eve Dallas remembers her all too well. Eve was personally responsible for her incarceration nearly ten years ago. And now, let out on good behavior, she still has nothing but bad intentions. It appears she wants to meet Dallas again - in a reunion neither will forget... "Edgy [and] sexy."-Publishers Weekly

  • This audio book was another fantastic listen. I absolutely adore these audio books, especially because Susan Erikson does a flawless job portraying Dallas and brings Roarke, Peabody, and the other characters to life. In this installment, Dallas courageously faces her inner demons, and I must admit that it was tough to listen to at times. However, the writing and performance were both outstanding, making it a truly memorable experience.
  • This audiobook is absolutely amazing! It's hard to put into words how great it is. The book's description gives you a clear idea of what to expect, and the narrator's performance is consistently fantastic. The story itself is nothing short of brilliant.
  • I absolutely loved this captivating, fascinating, and hilarious murder mystery in the wonderful series! Once again, Eve, Rourke, Peabody, and the ever-growing group of Eve's friends find themselves in some tricky predicaments. As always, I thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend it! The narrator brilliantly brings each character to life, forming incredible emotional connections.
