  • Let me start by saying that I'm a huge fan of the series and absolutely adore Magnus Bane. However, I have to mention that some of the short stories in "The Bane Chronicles" seem to clash with the events that unfolded in the main stories. I just feel that the authors should pay closer attention to maintaining consistency with their own established facts.
  • To be honest, there were parts in 'The Bane Chronicles' that were quite intriguing and amusing, but overall, the story left me with a slight cringe and a feeling of something being lacking. Perhaps I just craved more moments between Alec and Bane. In comparison to the previous story, it felt rather disappointing.
  • I absolutely adore Cassandra Clare's writing and I just can't seem to get my fill of it. "The Bane Chronicles" was an enjoyable compilation of short stories that provided answers to some lingering questions from the previous books. It was a blast to listen to the various narrators and their unique takes on the stories.
  • I would love to dive into a whole series dedicated to Magnus Bane. He's hilarious, intelligent, and has a heart that's larger than life. This book offers a sneak peek into the person he truly is and the experiences that shaped him. After completing both The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices series, The Bane Chronicles is a must-read. While Cassandra Clare often subjects her readers to emotional turmoil, the majority of the stories in this book provide a much-needed respite. There are a few tales that may sting a bit, but for the most part, I found myself grinning and chuckling at the sheer hilarity that encompasses Magnus Bane's life.
  • There were a few stories that were absolutely amazing, while others were just okay. However, when looking at the whole collection, it's definitely worth your time to give it a listen or read. One story in particular, "What Really Happened in Peru," had me laughing out loud.
  • The voices in this audiobook are absolutely incredible, making it an amazing experience to listen to. The short stories included are a lot of fun and add a new layer of enjoyment to the series. It's a shame these stories weren't included in the original books, as they are so great. Overall, I absolutely love this audiobook and highly recommend it.
