  • Personally, I wasn't a fan of this book.... It's crafted in a narrative style that resembles a bedtime story for children. Initially, I was intrigued by the title as I strongly believe in the importance of generosity and giving in the business world (being a business owner myself, focused on providing services along with a product). However, my interest quickly waned. As someone in search of practical business concepts and guidance, I found this "story" challenging to view as a credible resource or to extract valuable insights from.
  • I gotta say, this book is like a cool little story or maybe a fable, and I totally dug the tale and how it was told. But if I'm being real with you, I'm not completely sold on its practicality in the real world. I've listened to a ton of podcasts that basically preach the same thing, and I've been practicing this concept for years. But honestly, I haven't seen the kind of financial miracles they seem to be selling here. Don't get me wrong, I've seen some positive outcomes and I do live this way because it just feels better than being a leech. But I haven't witnessed a bunch of people getting rich overnight, not even the go-givers I personally know. Maybe I need to work on my ability to receive, because none of my endeavors have brought me the kind of wealth they talk about, and I haven't received any magical phone calls at 6:15pm that landed me millions (eye roll). Maybe my call came at 6:20 after I had already left, an hour and 20 minutes late? :/ All in all, it's worth a read if you're new to the concept, but I'm just not convinced it's all that realistic.
  • Oh man, what a disappointment! It's such a shame that I wasted a credit on this audiobook. The ideas presented in it are just so basic and fundamental. And don't even get me started on the story - it was absolutely terrible and felt very simplistic. It honestly reminded me of something you'd find in a children's book, like the Berenstain Bears or something. This has got to be the worst self-help book I've ever come across. Seriously, save your money and don't even think about buying it!
  • This book is complete trash, I seriously regret having it in my library. It's just a gimmick with no real substance. The author of this book must be a complete idiot, they would be more productive scribbling on the walls with crayons in the living room.
  • Just wrapped up reading 'The Go-Giver, Expanded Edition: A Little Story About a Powerful Business Idea'. Really opened my eyes to some of the mindsets that require a shift, tons of valuable information packed in there. Definitely worth the investment.
  • This book is an absolute gem, and it won't take up much of your time to get through. But let me tell you, it will really make you appreciate the blessings that you might be overlooking in your life. It's a heartwarming read that will definitely open your mind!
  • I absolutely enjoyed the storytelling aspect of this book, treating it more like a work of fiction. However, when it comes to its practical application in the business world, I remained undecided. Being a business owner myself, running both construction and software companies, I can vouch for the importance of the value principle mentioned in the book. However, it is important to note that achieving tangible results in business takes a significant amount of time, often spanning several years. In contrast, the narrative within the book depicts a rather fast-paced journey for the main character. Overall, I would recommend reading this book as a common sense refresher and for the engaging story it provides, but not as a guide for those seeking quick wealth (which, let's face it, doesn't really exist).
