  • I've stuck with the books in this series, but I have to admit that I'm not really digging them. First of all, the narration is pretty awful - maybe it's because I'm more accustomed to English narrators, but this lady sounds like a robot and it's really hard to listen to! The story is somewhat realistic but also quite gloomy, and I found myself losing interest at various points because there isn't a truly captivating plot to keep you hooked.
  • I can't wrap my head around how a supposed pro narrator could be this awful. It's weird, because when she's doing character voices, she's actually pretty engaging, but when it comes to the main character's inner thoughts, she's as flat as a pancake. It's so bad that it's almost comical at times. I strongly recommend giving a sample a listen before you commit to buying this one!
