An all-new novel based on the globally popular video game World of Warcraft! • Hey man, let me tell you, I've been through it all. Just like the trees always have leaves, and the deep waters are always there, this book will take you on a journey like no other, my friend. As you read, you'll be living and experiencing the world just as Vol'jin leads the way.
  • The storyline of 'World of Warcraft: Vol'jin: Shadows of the Horde' takes place before the Siege of Orgrimmar and effectively establishes the Dark Spear rebellion. It's a bit disappointing that Vol'jin's tenure as Warchief didn't last longer, especially considering how he was by Thrall's side in Orgrimmar when I first began playing WoW. Thrall's decision to favor Gorrash over Vol'jin seems incredibly foolish. Additionally, I'm still trying to comprehend why Vol'jin opted for Sylvanas Windrunner as his successor.
  • The pacing of this book was a bit sluggish, but it certainly picked up towards the end with a very satisfying conclusion. Additionally, nestled within the middle of the book were a handful of standout chapters that added depth to the overall story.
  • Out of all the books in the World of Warcraft saga, 'World of Warcraft: Vol'jin: Shadows of the Horde' has been my favorite so far. I can't quite put my finger on exactly why, but the storyline and performance were both absolutely amazing.
  • I absolutely adored 'World of Warcraft: Vol'jin: Shadows of the Horde'. It's an incredibly captivating blend of poetry and lore that truly touched my heart. The personal journey of Vol'jin and his deepening friendships with various races had me on the verge of tears. The storyline brilliantly portrays his quest to discover his true identity and purpose following Garrosh's betrayal. I must give a resounding five stars to the narrator, whose eloquence and captivating storytelling had me hooked from start to finish. Oh, and let's not forget about Chen's character! I absolutely adored his dual role as a hilarious clown and a skilled brewer. Simply fantastic!
  • The story in 'World of Warcraft: Vol'jin: Shadows of the Horde' was absolutely incredible, and the narration took it to a whole new level. It was an awesome experience to listen to, and I highly suggest it to any other World of Warcraft enthusiasts.
