Summary

    Joshilyn Jackson continues to blow me away! I've had the pleasure of listening to "The Girl Who Stopped Swimming," "Gods in Alabama," and "Between, Georgia," and let me tell you, they were all absolutely amazing. However, "A Grown-Up Kind of Pretty" takes the cake as my personal favorite. Jackson, who possesses a rare talent for both storytelling and narration, weaves together a captivating tale centered around three generations of women - a grandmother, a daughter, and a granddaughter - whose lives are forever altered by a long-buried secret that resurfaces in the most unexpected way. This book encompasses elements of chick-lit, mystery, southern gothic, and contemporary fiction, creating an incredibly unique reading experience. The story itself is fantastic, with a well-crafted plot that keeps you hooked from start to finish. The characters are fully developed and feel incredibly real, making it easy to become emotionally invested in their journeys.     This book has an amazing plot. The writing is top-notch. The narration is truly impressive. I couldn't stop listening from start to finish. That only happens with the best books. It would be the perfect audiobook to enjoy while traveling.
