Summary

Jackson "The Beast" Boudreaux is rich, gorgeous, and unbelievably rude to the staff at Chef Bianca Hardwick's New Orleans restaurant. Bianca would sooner douse herself in hot sauce than cook for Jackson again, but when he asks her to cater his fund-raiser, Bianca can't refuse, knowing the cash will help pay her mother's medical bills. Then Jackson makes another outrageous request: Marry me. The unconventional offer includes an enormous sum-money Bianca desperately needs, even if it does come with a contract-and a stunning ring.

  • I hadn't come across any books by this author before, but this one definitely piqued my interest. It was seriously enjoyable. Sure, it took its time to build up, but I really liked the playful exchanges between the two main characters. As I delved into the story, I realized it had that addictive quality - and man, was it still a delightful read. Pippa Jayne's narration was a real treat, especially the way she brought each character to life with such energy and charm. Overall, this book was a fantastic experience.
  • I absolutely adored Cam and Joellen's journey in "Melt for You: Slow Burn, Book 2." The author, J.T. Geissinger, never fails to deliver a captivating blend of humor, wit, and sensuality, and this book is no exception. The added bonus of a sexy Scots accent only adds to the overall charm of the story. One aspect that really stood out to me were the profound moments that touched on themes of self-care, body image, and self-love. The quote mentioned in the review beautifully captures the idea that we are all connected to the vastness of the universe, and it's refreshing to see a romance novel featuring a female protagonist who doesn't conform to mainstream beauty standards. While the narration in this audiobook isn't dual or duet, the narrator did an excellent job of bringing the characters to life. Despite being voiced by a single person, it didn't take long for me to become fully immersed in the story and forget that it wasn't a multi-narrator production.
  • I absolutely adored this book! The way the author developed the characters really surprised me and made me genuinely care about them. Their depth exceeded my expectations, unlike many other books. The witty exchanges in the story were absolutely fantastic. In fact, during one particular conversation in the middle chapters, I found myself laughing so hard that I had to keep rewinding to catch what the characters said next. It was a one-of-a-kind experience for me! While I enjoyed the first book in the series, I must say that this one was even more outstanding. I'm definitely going to seek out more of Geissinger's work in the future!
