    I definitely recommend this book, especially in a time when there's so much fake news going around. It's refreshing to hear from someone who actually experienced those defining moments in black history firsthand.

    In this audiobook, the author shares captivating anecdotes about various individuals, although some of them may come across as embellished. However, I reached my breaking point when the author delved into the far-fetched claim that Michael Jackson was assassinated by a laser. As a result, I decided to discontinue listening.

    Although there were aspects of this book that I found enjoyable, such as its ability to inspire further research and contemplation on historical moments and conspiracy theories, I was not a fan of the narrator's voice. It made the reading experience quite challenging. Additionally, I felt that the book lacked coherence at times. Dick Gregory would begin discussing a topic, then transition to another without clear connections. Some of these tangents would eventually tie back together, while others would simply trail off, much like the book's ending.
