  • I really enjoyed the earlier books in the series and was a big fan of all the characters, but this one left me feeling disappointed. I don't really mind the language that other people have criticized, but it just felt like all the characters lost their direction and became less appealing. I'm wondering what happened to the Gill character that I had grown to love? The first three books were great and I would definitely suggest reading them. I can only hope that the authors find their way back and deliver better novels in the future.
  • Books, and particularly audiobooks, should be rated in a similar manner to movies. On the surface, "Ghost Sniper: A Sniper Elite Novel" seemed to have a promising storyline, but I never got the chance to truly experience it. While a bit of realistic language is acceptable, the excessive explicitness felt unnecessary. I'm hesitant to purchase more books from this service until they can provide a clearer understanding of the book's character and the author's style. It's not about censoring their rights, but rather about protecting our own (my wife also listens with me during long trips).
  • I'm a huge fan of the entire series, but I must say that I had mixed feelings about the ending in this particular book. It wasn't necessarily a bad ending, but personally, I was hoping for something a bit different.
  • I had a great time reading this book. It was packed with non-stop action. However, I did find that there were numerous characters in the story, but unfortunately, they lacked sufficient development. It often left me feeling confused about who was the focal point in each chapter, as the book failed to provide a deep understanding of the characters. This lack of familiarity with the characters made it somewhat challenging to follow the storyline at certain points.
  • I've devoured all four books in the Elite Sniper series, but I have to say that this one falls short of my expectations. Let me start with my gripe about the entire series, and that is how women are portrayed. Even the so-called good guys treat them disrespectfully, underestimating their abilities and using derogatory terms like "baby," "bitch," and the infamous "c" word. Now, onto my review of this specific book (spoiler alert!). I was infuriated by the author's decision to abruptly write off Marie. In the previous book, she proved to be a fierce protector of her home and family, and her character deserved more than being told her husband was dead. This heartless act was carried out by Gil, who, to be honest, displayed actions that were far from honorable for a SEAL. Additionally, turning Pope into a villain was completely out of character for him. It almost felt like the authors were struggling to wrap up the series and resorted to a convoluted and ultimately disappointing ending.
  • The excessive use of profanity became a bit repetitive as I continued listening. However, the story itself was quite enjoyable. In general, it managed to hold my interest and had a fast-paced narrative.
  • The writing in 'Ghost Sniper: A Sniper Elite Novel' is top-notch, with superb acting and the usual outstanding storytelling that we've come to expect from the Sniper Elite series. It's evident that the good guys are clearly fighting on the right side of the battle!
