  • As someone who took an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States, both from external and internal threats, I believed I had a good understanding of our founding principles. However, Mr. Levin's book, "Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto," provided me with a deeper insight into the origins of our nation, the intentions of our founding fathers, and the path our society has taken thus far. With his sharp intellect and clever humor, Levin draws a clear distinction between conservatives like us and those who lean towards statism, better known as liberals, and their objectives. This book should be mandatory reading in schools, replacing the revisionist nonsense that my son is exposed to.
  • I gave this book a listen not just once, but twice, and let me tell you, it was absolutely fantastic! The author presents the information in a balanced and rational manner, devoid of any unnecessary emotional appeal, so you can freely form your own opinions.
  • This book is absolutely amazing! I've been following Dr. Levin's journey since he departed from the Justice Department, and I must say, I've been truly impressed by his insightful analyses of the Judiciary. In particular, his book "Men In Black" where he fearlessly exposes the idiosyncrasies of the nation's highest court left a lasting impact on me. However, I have to say that "Liberty and Tyranny" surpasses even that. The book is incredibly well-referenced, and Dr. Levin demonstrates a solid understanding of fundamental principles. I cannot stress enough how highly I recommend this book. It's my hope that not only political elites, but high school students as well, will have the opportunity to read it. Dr. Levin doesn't spare any political party in his critique, and I believe he has absolutely hit the nail on the head.
  • If the only exposure you've had to Conservatism is the biased information from cable news, or if you're wary of Conservatism due to the loud and controversial figures like Rush Limbaugh, then this book is perfect for you. It offers an honest examination of what it truly means to be a Conservative, stripping away the unnecessary labels and cutting through the nonsense.
  • Is there anything more that can be discussed regarding the principles of living as a free individual? I appreciate the fact that you have managed to capture at least a portion of it in a book. This is precisely how my Grandmother conducted herself, with admiration for everyone, extending a helping hand when necessary, but also not hesitating to give a firm push to get you back on track. That lady holds a special place in my heart.
  • I was really looking forward to reading this book. I enjoy Mr. Levin's articles in National Review (and I'm a big fan of that publication). However, I don't think this book will be able to convince anyone to become a conservative or get conservatives to embrace his manifesto. It's great to see a conservative book doing well on the bestseller list (especially one that doesn't contain the kind of angry rhetoric found in Ann Coulter's books). Unfortunately, this book is filled with statements that don't provide much evidence or persuasive arguments. It seems like he jumps from one current issue to another without any clear structure or reasoning.
  • If you still remember the good ol' Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, then you'll definitely appreciate Mark Levin's fantastic analysis of what it truly means to be an American. He sheds light on how fortunate we are to have the bedrock of liberty, while also highlighting the alarming risks it faces. If you're even remotely interested in shaking off your slumber and stepping up to reclaim your country, I highly recommend giving this book a read or a listen.
  • This audiobook, "Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto," is a timeless yet relevant collection of conservative principles. It offers a fresh and clear perspective on the pillars of conservatism. Author Mark exposes the root causes of today's issues and problems, many of which have been festering and growing for the past 70 years. The epilogue chapter brilliantly wraps it all up. As someone with an engineering background, I highly appreciate Mark's thorough research. This book provides a wealth of data to support each claim. The first chapter is narrated by Mark himself, and although the remaining chapters are not, the speaker, Mr. Grupper, does an excellent job and is easy to listen to. For the United States to remain a great nation, it is crucial that we as citizens anchor ourselves in the responsibilities of liberty. We must reject any attempts to undermine this precious freedom with a softer form of tyranny.
  • I really enjoyed reading this book, "Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto". It is a well-written and significant work that accomplished something crucial - it prompted me to reflect and restored my faith in the presence of intelligent beings on this planet.
  • I strongly believe in considering different perspectives, and this book presents various arguments. However, I found a lack of supporting evidence throughout. The author includes quotes from historical figures, yet as we know from religious texts, quotes can be interpreted in multiple ways. The author exhibits a narrow-minded worldview and makes unfounded assumptions about others based solely on what he deems as "observations." It would be ideal if life were that simple. The fact that this book became a bestseller suggests that anyone can make assumptions about others' thoughts solely based on observation. It is crucial to educate ourselves about history to gain a more accurate understanding of the liberal mindset and why people hold different beliefs.
