  • I was absolutely blown away by this incredible story, both due to Follett's superb handling of it and the fact that it is based on true events. I vividly remember witnessing these events unfold and being absolutely astounded by Ross Perot's bravery in embarking on a mission to rescue these men. I am equally in awe of the individuals who risked everything to make it happen. In the end, the rescue turned out to be unexpectedly ordinary, yet not in a negative sense. It was rather non-violent, but that doesn't quite capture it either. It was executed with such precision and efficiency that a significant portion of the meticulously planned strategy wasn't even required. I find that incredibly fascinating. What an incredible triumph! Each and every person involved in this operation displayed heroism in their own unique way.
  • I found this book full of suspense and it is a true story. It is the rescue of the EDS men from Iran. There were a few times I wanted them to hurry up and move the story along but overall the pace was good. The narrator did an excellent job. Was interested in the political side of the story with Kissinger and Carter. Picking up a newspaper today reveals little has changed in Iran. You will enjoy this book.
  • The the book held my interest. I really liked it because it was a true story and these heroes just said yes. Ross Perot is a very interesting man. His family must be very proud of him. He was very loyal to the people who worked for him. It is definitely worth listening to.
