This book had so much potential, but unfortunately, it fell short for me. The main characters spent a majority of the story questioning their feelings for each other, which became tiresome after a while. Despite the fact that they had already been through so much together, they couldn't seem to openly express their love or even consummate their relationship until the very end. It was frustrating to see them ignore the advice of their friends and the goddess, and it made the main male character seem stubborn and resistant to change. I found myself skipping parts of the book due to the repetitive nature of the story. Overall, I was disappointed with this installment compared to the previous book in the series.

If it wasn't for the author's attempt to push her political agenda, I would've easily given this book a solid four or five stars. I turned to this kind of literature to escape from reality, not to have someone forcefully impose their views on me.

I'm a huge fan of Evangeline Anderson and her books. She's such an incredible writer who has a knack for captivating the imagination.
