A master storyteller at his best—the O. Henry Prize winner Stephen King delivers a generous collection of stories, several of them brand-new, featuring revelatory autobiographical comments on when, why, and how he came to write (or rewrite) each story.

  • The narration in this audiobook is absolutely amazing, showcasing immense talent that truly brings the stories to life. Stephen King, a true master of his craft, provides captivating insights into his writing process and motivations behind each story. These tales are fantastic treasures, blending elements of fantasy and horror in a delightful way.
  • This collection didn't do it for me. The only story that managed to keep my interest was the one about the judge and the sand dune. I'm a die-hard fan of King, but this collection was a total letdown. Yeah, I listened to the whole thing, hoping for some excitement. But it just left me feeling bored.
  • The Glocks in this audiobook have something called "safe action" instead of a traditional safety mechanism. Unfortunately, the first story and its reference to "The Walking Dead" seem to have missed this detail. Setting aside this minor error, the rest of the stories are truly fantastic.
